2008 Ujena Jam Talent Search.

The Ujena Jam Talent Search Week (formerly Ujena Bikini Jam) is really expanding and getting a lot of exposure. We've added three new cities, several new events and more opportunities for everyone.  Over $250,000 of cash, prizes, trips and contracts will be awarded the Ujena and Partner Companies winners.  Ujena will be working with over 60 partner companies in 2008.

Many new partners are joining the team.  Some new partners for 2008 include: Savvy.com (750,000 unique visitors per day and giving away one million dollars to the winner of their Million Dollar Woman Contest), Morf Mobile (Offers a unique mobile community), Soccer Resorts (Produces 20 soccer tournaments annually and will be adding the Ujena Jam to their rooster), Sporting magazine from Mexico City will be producing the Ujena 10k and 5k runs and the Bisbee (The world's richest fishing tournament) will be working with us in PV and in Cabo during their big $4 million dollar event.

Almost all previous partners will be working with us again in 2008.  A list of these partners can be found at the bottom of the Ujena Talent home page.  Thanks for all your support and looking forward in doing it again.

We are expecting over 2500 participates this season.  Five Ujena Jams are scheduled for 2008: Cancun in January, Sitges Spain in May, Guadalajara Mexico in July, Puerto Vallarta (International Final) in August, and San Jose del Cabo in October. Looking ahead, we are considering Las Vegas (March 2009) and Costa Rica (June 2009).

Our two Ujena Jams (Spain and PV) in 2007 were exposed to millions of people and we are expecting more coverage this year.  Our 2007 media partners included Maxim en espanol, Bennett Productions, Telemundo TV, Extra TV42, TV Azteca, MEN7 Channel, FAME magazine, Nirvana Women and Masters of Horror.

At each Ujena Jam our partner companies in addition to Ujena are looking for talent (models, photographers and makeup artists) to represent their company or product. The talent selected will be featured in catalogs, at trade shows, print ads and used in other promotional activities.  In addition to this, the Ujena Jam will bring you a lot of exposure. Pepsi and Corona were two of our product sponsors in Puerto Vallarta.

At each Jam there will be the Ujena Jam Awards Party the final night.  The selected Ujena and partner companies models and photograhers will be announced  and awarded the Ujena Jam Award and prize.  (The Jam award is provided by Ujena.)

At our International Jam in Puerto Vallarta we will be holding our 3rd Annual Image Awards Show (August 31, 2008).  The coveted crystal Ujena Image Award will be presented to each winner.  A lot of attention is brought to each Image Award winner and our partner companies.

"We have expanded the Bikini Jam event to include Lifestyle Events, Fashion Photography, Casting, Workshops and Nightlife.  During the day competing models and phtographers are doing photo shoots. Hundreds of thousands of images are taken and then judged.  Ujena and our partner companies are reviewing these images and talking with contestants," says Bob Anderson, Founder and Ujena Jam Director.

"The Ujena Jam Expo is where everyone comes to register, network, look at images, relax and sign contracts.  During the Expo, competing makeup artists are working on models and are being judged for the Makeup For Print competition.  Models are walking around in bikinis with portfolios and photographers have their portfolios for review as well.  In the middle of the room is the networking area with sofas, chairs and tables.  The atmosphere is casual and it works," Bob continued.

"A typical Ujena Jam day plays out like this.  Models and photographers get up early and start taking photos knowing that Ujena and partner companies want to review these images.  Once finished shooting contestants meet back at the Expo.  Many days there is also a special event being held.  At the end of the day is a networking party and then a theme party that night.  We have designed parties to help people meet and network.  We have a costume, clubkini, beach, pool and at some locations a foam party. The next day it starts all over again until we get to the final night," stated Catherine Cross, Ujena Jam PR director.

In addition to the Expo and the photo shoots, there are many lifestyle events being held.  At each Jam there will be the Ujena 10k and 5k run/walk.  For Puerto Vallarta we have already confirmed the 3rd Annual Ujena Golf Tournament, the 2nd Annual Ujena Big Game Fishing Tournament, the 2nd Annual Makeup For Print and the 2nd Annual Bikini Acrobatics Competition.  An additional entry fee is required to participate in most of these events.

A series of Ujena Talent Workshops are held at all the Jams.  These educational workshops are designed to help models and photographers further their careers.  In Cancun, master photographer Bruce Smith from England is also offering all day workshops for an additional fee.

New for this year is the Ujena Jam Soccer Tournament.  Over 20 teams will be participating.  We are also finalizing plans for the Two Day Ujena Jam Fitness Event (10k run and Swim), Male Model Photo competition and a Tennis Tournament.
